little capsules of spring
hidden just below the grass
you dug
while I followed behind like a child
full of the wonder of nature
picking up worms
and jumping on earth
Your act
so generous
so simple
and so profound
touched the aching part of me
that cannot believe nearly a year has passed
tears together in the kitchen afterwards
still here
